DAY 1: LISBON, BY TUKTUK OR VAN
The Historic Lisbon package covers the areas of the 7 Colinas and the Belém area. Total route of about 28 km, of which 12 km in two of the most challenging areas to complete in any other way in the same period, the Medieval Hills and Romantic Hills.
In the Medieval Hills, we will discover the origins of Lisbon, how it was founded and conquered from the Moors, and a timeline of almost 3,000 years of different civilizations. We will also explore the narrow medieval streets and marvel at the views from the city’s main viewpoints. It is the area of the town with the steepest hills.
As far as the Romantic Hills are concerned, as difficult to traverse as the Medieval ones, you will be in contact with a city renewed after the Lisbon earthquake of 1755 – the biggest ever in Europe. This is the area of beautiful palaces, gardens, and the chicest neighborhoods. Together Medieval Hills and Romantic Hills form the 7 Hills. The tourist bus and tram don’t even cover 50% of what you can do with us.
On the way to Belém, we will stop at the creative LX Factory and see, in addition to the emblematic Padrão dos Descobrimentos, two monuments that are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower. They are the prominent landmarks of the Maritime Discoveries period. Unfortunately, a large part of this area cannot be covered by tram 15 or tourist buses.
Here’s everything you can do with us in 3h/4h! By your means, it would take 3 to 4 days, without being able to complement it with our explanations and enjoy our company.
DAY 2: FÁTIMA/NAZARÉ/ÓBIDOS, CARRIED OUT IN VAN
In this experience, you started by heading north, bound for the city of Fátima, where the largest Marian Sanctuary in the world is located. There, you can visit the Sanctuary, say your prayers (if applicable) and have all-you-can-eat lunch with delicious fish fillets and tomato rice!
In the afternoon, you can go to Nazaré beach, known worldwide for its giant waves. The Sítio and the Church of Nossa Senhora da Nazaré also deserve to be mentioned. On your way back to Lisbon, if you have time, you can also stop by Vila de Óbidos, known in Portugal as one of the Three Queens’ Villages.
