After a good breakfast in Lisbon, we head south, crossing the 25 de Abril Bridge.
The first stop is at the Cristo Rei viewpoint, where you can look down on Lisbon from a considerable height, appreciating the beauty of an ancient city carved by the Tagus. You will also be able to understand the power of the Catholic Church in Portugal and its use by the fascist regime that we lived in until 1974, with the majestic statue erected to Christ making the motto “God, Fatherland and Family” heard, uttered until exhaustion by Salazar.
Then, to unwind, we head to the Capuchos viewpoint, located on the fossil cliff of Costa da Caparica. The next stop is at Cabo Espichel, near Sesimbra, for a coffee and a light walk that will allow you to see the Atlantic in the strength of its power. The massive cliffs and cliffs will enable you to see the full extension of the bay over the Atlantic. Believe it! You will be impressed.
The adventure continues up the mountain to Setúbal, the city that borders the Alentejo region. Open your eyes wide so as not to miss a single cut this Serra makes with the sea. It is one of our country’s most majestic and beautiful mountain ranges. You almost feel like hugging her, so you never lose your memory again. Superb! Depending on how long you want to stay at each of these stops, you can have lunch in Setúbal or on one of the Costa da Caparica beaches, with the promise, however, that in any of these places, the fish and seafood are divine. This is because, fresh every day and, therefore, what we recommend.
The rest is pure enjoyment and delight. Fonte da Telha beach offers the right towel or armchair that invites you to a relaxing dip in the late afternoon.
